President Yameen said that despite the sizeable potential young population, developing human resources was one of the biggest challenges facing the country.
He said that the lack of nurses was one of the biggest challenges facing the health sector of the country.
President Yameen said that a solution to the challenge couldn’t be found in a day, and that the government was working on deciding on a strategy which will provide a solution at the least amount of time.
“On one hand, private hospitals are being established at a praiseworthy rate. And on the other hand, we have to say no because our servicemen are leaving us. But this is how it will be. We are working on producing nurses within a short period of time.”
