Electronics shop burns down in Fonadhoo

An electronics shop selling mobile phones in L. Fonadhoo burned to the ground in a fire during the early morning hours of this Sunday.

The incident took place at approximately 4:21 am.

Police media official reported that the fire took place in an electronics shop located at the Kurigamu district of Fonadhoo.

He said that the fire was put out in one hour through the combined effort of police, army, and locals.

Police report the shop had burned beyond repair in the fire.

“The cause of the fire has not been confirmed yet. Police are investigating the case,” said the official.
