Police investigate after man walking from Rathafandhoo to Nadella drowns

Police have started investigating after one of two people walking by the reef from G. Dh. Rathafandhoo to G. Dh. Nadella drowns.

President of Nadella Council, Faisal Najeeb said the incident took place on Tuesday night.

The death of one of the men – Mohamed Rasheed, 31, of Nooran Villa, G. Dh. Nadella – was reported to Nadella Council at around 3:15 am, early Wednesday morning.

Faisal Najeeb said the case was reported to the police immediately.

Faisal said that a special medical team of officials from Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital were operating on the island.

Police media official has confirmed they were investigating the case.
