Police recovers over 5,000 US dollars stolen from Addu City

Maldives Police Service has recovered a large portion of USD 5,900 stolen from the residence of foreign teachers in Hulhumeedhoo, Addu City and arrested a suspected.

Police Media Official told Sun Media that a theft of USD 5,900 from Hulhumeedhoo was reported to the Police on 31 October and the investigation was started by the Hulhumeedhoo Police and Addu Intelligence.

The Media Official said that USD 5,740 was recovered from the 5,900 yesterday and USD 160 still remains to be found.

One person has been arrested in relation to the case according to the Police and the case is being investigated further.
