National bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced a profit after tax of MVR 755 million generated during the first three quarters of year 2016.
Financial results for third quarter, released by BML this Sunday, shows it generated MVR 184 million as profit after tax during the third quarter, a figure which is lower than the MVR 340 million it generated during the second quarter.
However, the profit after tax it generated during the first three quarters of 2016 is 95 percent higher than which it earned during the first three quarters of 2015.
It had earned MVR 385 million in profit after tax during the first three quarters of 2015.
The bank had generated an income of MVR 501 million during the third quarter, which is MVR 547 million it generated as income in second quarter.
During the press conference this Sunday to release its financial results for third quarter, CEO of BML, Andrew Healy said the company had invested MVR 150 million in CSR projects so far this year.
