Swamp outside Addu Convention Center catches fire

Swamp area outside the Convention Center in Hithadhoo, Addu City is burning after catching fire this Saturday morning.

Firefighters are working on containing the fire, and it has been reported that there’s no damage to the Convention Center.

A source from Addu City who spoke to “Sun” said that a pathway separated the Convention Center from the swamp area – which has caught fire – but that the fire was spreading fast.

Addu City council has made no official regarding the incident yet.
