Faris says Maumoon faction stood unwavering despite HQ emptied of contents

Dhiggaru MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon has said that the faction loyal to Leader of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), former Maldivian President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom stood unwavering despite the PPM office being emptied of all its contents.

PPM faction loyal to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom had carried away eight lorries full of items from PPM office on Friday night.

Faris and other members of Maumoon faction had quizzed the police officers near PPM office, and then gone to Police HQ for answers.

“Sun” caught Faris as he was leaving the Police HQ. He said that they had been unable to meet a senior police officer who can answer their quarries. And said the Maumoon faction would continue to press the police for answers.

He said that they remained unwavering despite the blow.

Faris said that he can make a comment of the contents taken from PPM office only after he received the details.

PPM head office is still being patrolled by police officers.

Yameen’s faction had taken the contents of the office to Dharubaaruge, where they are working out of.
