Body of Bangladeshi man who burned to death in the huge fire on board the cargo ship
“Baroasa” has been buried after authorities took samples from his bones for analysis.
The fire had taken place last week while the ship had been anchored near K. Thilafushi.
The burned body of the Bangladeshi man was found two days after the fire incident took place, after crew onboard the ship realized that he had gone missing.
Police media official reported this Wednesday that his body had now been buried. And that the police were analyzing samples taken from his bones.
The Bangladeshi man had been employed by owner of the ship - Maldives Marine Product (MMP) – to work in one of their uninhabited islands.
He had been taken to the ship to speed up the repair work being done on the ship at the time.
A senior official of Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) investigating the incident reported to “Sun” that it looked like the Bangladeshi man had died in the first round of fire.
His body had been found near where he had been working.
