Republic Day function scheduled for Nov 10

Official State function to celebrate Republic Day has been scheduled for November 10.

President’s Office announced that the function will start at 8:30 pm, in Dharubaaruge.

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is scheduled to address the nation during the function.

Winners of the annual National Award of Honor and National Award of Recognition will be conferred during the Republic Day function.

In addition, President’s Medal will be conferred to individuals who have committed the Quran in its entirety to memory, to students placed in the world top ten in the 2015 IGCSE & GCE O’level examinations, and for the students who were placed in the world top ten in the 2016 A’level examinations.
