Rafy nominated for global “Ten Outstanding Young Persons” award

Deputy Leader of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), Aishath Rafiyya (Rafy) has been nominated by JCI Maldives for the JCI global “Ten Outstanding Young Persons” award.

Rafy won the JCI Maldives “Ten Outstanding Young Persons” award for her political, legal and/or governmental accomplishment and was nominated for the global JCI award on Saturday night.

In addition to being the Deputy Leader of MDA, she is also the founder and President of the NGO “Rafy” – which advocates for the empowerment of the youth.

Rafy, who has a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, made history by becoming the first Maldivian to be chosen as a member of the panel of judges for Queen’s Young Leader Award by the Queen of United Kingdom, Elizabeth II.

She also made history by becoming the first Maldivian to chosen as Honorary President of Royal Institute of Public Administration of Singapore for South Asia, and Outstanding Woman Leadership Award by Golden Globe Tigers.
