Stelco warns of power outages in some parts of Male’

State Electric Company (Stelco) has warned of power outages lasting approximately one hour to some parts of Male’ this Wednesday, starting from 3:30 pm.

Senior Engineer of Stelco, Ibrahim Rauf informed “Sun” that the company was working on resolving an issue with one of its main engines – and that it would result in power outages to some parts of Male’ between 3:30 to 4:30 pm.

Rauf said that the maintenance work would not result in power outages in the entire city, but would only affect some parts of the city for a small period of time.

Stelco did not specify the areas which would be facing the power outages.
