MRDC starts road construction work in Kulhudhuffushi

Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) has started road construction work in H. Dh. Kulhudhuffushi.

Media official of MRDC, Shareef Mohamed informed “Sun” that the work began on Tuesday after delays, after the company finally received the equipment and machinery needed for the work.

“We now received almost all of the equipment needed for road construction in Kulhudhuffushi.

The work has now begun in Kulhudhuffushi. Hopefully, we will be able to complete the work by end of this year,” said Shareef.

MRDC will be constructing the main road of Kulhudhuffushi – Bandaara Magu – using asphalt. And the full Kulhudhuffushi road construction project also involves the construction of its other roads.

The MVR 54 million project was contracted to MRDC during former Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik’s presidency.
