MIRA orders online payment of 2 taxes from October

Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has ordered for Withholding Tax, and Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST) to be paid online starting from October 1.

In a tax ruling published by MIRA, the authority said that Withholding Tax and TGST statements, as well as the tax money needed to be sent to them via their online portal MIRAconnect or

MRTGS (Maldives Real Time Gross Settlement).

MIRA introduced their online payment options in order increase customer confidence, and make tax payment more safe and secure.
