Man arrested in suspicion of sexually abusing a small girl

A man suspected of sexually abusing a small girl has been arrested in Noonu atoll Milandhoo.

Sources say that the man arrested was the step-father of a 14-year-old girl he has been abusing for three years.

Police Media Official told Sun Media today that a 31-year-old man was arrested under a court order in Milandhoo yesterday in suspicion of sexually abusing an underage girl.

The Media Official said that the man has been remanded by eight days by the Noonu Atoll Velidoo Magistrate Court.
