Government gives go-ahead for import of medicine, vegetables from Bangladesh

Ministry of Economic Development of Maldives has made the decision to allow for interested Maldivian businessmen to import certain products from neighboring Bangladesh.

Ministry has finalized the decision, making the announcement in the Government Gazette.

Ministry of Economic Development said in their announcement that multiple Bangladeshi businessmen had approached the Maldivian High Commission in Bangladesh and expressed interest in exporting their products to Maldives.

Products that can be imported from Bangladesh includes prescription drugs, construction material, and food items and agricultural produce.
