FM Asim travels to NY for UN general assembly

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim has travelled to New York to represent Maldives in the 71st United Nations General Assembly.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Dr. Asim will be giving his speech on September 24.

Main topics Asim is set to address includes climate change, disaster management, gender equality, and domestic violence.

The Maldivian delegation which travelled to New York also include Foreign Secretary - Dr. Ali Naseer, Permanent Representative of Maldives to the United Nations – Ahmed Sareer, as well as other senior officials.
