Fire near Hulhumeedhoo “Kulhi”

A fire has started near the “Kulhi” (natural pond habitat for freshwater fish, etc.) in Hulhumeedhoo, Addu City.

Once the report of the fire in the area came into the Hulhumeedhoo Police Station at 6:27 p.m., Police said that they have been active in the area.

Police said that have been working with the public to extinguish the fire and it is taking effect now.

So far there have been no reports of an injury to person or property in relation to the fire according to the Police.

The Police said that the cause of the fire is being investigated.
