Online, SMS voting opened for Maldives Travel Awards

Online and SMS voting has been opened for Maldives Travel Awards 2016, which is being held in association with Think Advertising and Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO).

Maldives Travel Awards, previously called MATATO Maldives Travel Awards was rebranded in 2016 and comes with new trophies.

The awards, endorsed by MATATO, is the most prestigious awarding ceremony in the field of tourism and advertising in Maldives.

Awards will be given in 31 categories, and well-known Maldivian tourism and hospitality businesses have been nominated in each category.

SMS voting will be carried out using codes published in the Maldives Travel Awards website.

The main categories include resorts, hotels, wellness, spa, liveaboard, travel, technology, aviation, transportation and diving centers.

There are 19 sub-categories within the resorts category, five sub-categories within hotels category, two sub-categories in wellness, spa, liveaboard, travel and technology. But only one award will be given from aviation, transport and dive center.

The deadline for online and SMS voting is November 15.
