Disaster Management Center has said that 12 of the 21 people that were at temporary housing following the fire at Galolhu Esbari residence on Wednesday, has moved back to their homes.
While three houses were affected by the fire last week, 14 men and seven women had their stay arranged at a hotel in Malé City following the incident. They include five school students.
A high ranking official from the Disaster Management told Sun Media today that some parts of the house have been repaired and 12 of the 21 people have moved back and there are nine people remaining at temporary housing.
There are three families who are from three apartments at Galolhu Esbari currently at temporary housing and are expected to be able to return home soon.
Galolhu Esbari is an old building with 13 parts and all have sustained different levels of damage.
