Maldivians who are making the year’s Hajj Pilgrimage has arrived at Arafat. Around 2 million pilgrims have gathered at Arafat for the most important day of Hajj.
Hajj becomes valid only when the day of Arafat is observed and witnessed by those who undertake the journey. Those who that miss the day of Arafat do not get a Hajj Pilgrimage. Even a short moment at spent at Arafat between noon and sunrise of the day 10 of Hajj would have completed the obligation. If a pilgrim arrived on the land at dawn, they must stay in the land until sunset.
The in-charge of 1000 of the 2000 Hajj Pilgrims from the Maldives, the Managing Director of Hajj Corporation, Yameen Idris told Sun Media today that all of their pilgrims are at Arafat.
When asked if he has any news from a Maldivian Hajj Group that has failed to arrive at Arafat so far, Yameen said that there has been no such report.
Editor of PSM, Mohamed Afsal currently on the Hajj Pilgrimage said that all pilgrims are in Arafat and all Maldivian pilgrims are also diligently engaged in prayer.
On the day of Arafat, the Hajj Pilgrims are engaged in the holy Quran and other prayers.
