Every pilgrim tagged with QR code

While almost a million people attend the annual Islamic pilgrimage to mecca, the most common problem during the pilgrimage is getting lost. As a solution to the problem, Saudi authorities have put on a tag on the arm of every pilgrim.

Yesterday, every pilgrim was tagged with a QR code that contains their information and the tent they are staying at. So if a pilgrim gets lost, they can show the code to security personnel and they would take the pilgrim to where he or she has to be.

Maldives Hajj Corporation said that all the Maldivian pilgrims have been tagged and would minimize getting lost even when they go out without the information card.

The Maldivian pilgrims would be leaving Mina and head for Arafat. The day of the Hajj is tomorrow.

Hajj Corporation said that all Maldivian pilgrims are in good condition.
