MP Ameeth stopped and questioned by police

Police have released Maduvvari MP Mohamed Ameeth after stopping him on the street and questioning him at around noon, Thursday.

Ameeth was stopped by police officers as he was driving by on his motorcycle in Male'.

Police information officer, reported that Ameeth was stopped for questioning by police due to a traffic violation, but did not reveal the exact violation.

"Sun" has not yet been able to contact Ameeth for a comment regarding the incident.
