EC celebrates Anniversary for the first time

Elections Commission (EC) has celebrated their Anniversary for the first time.

A statement issued by the EC today said that they celebrated the eighth Anniversary of the Elections Commission.

The statement said that 25 August was chosen as the official anniversary of the Elections Commission during the closing ceremony of the Democracy Week at Haa Alifu Hoarafushi on 18 February 2016.

EC said that special ceremony was held to commemorate the eighth anniversary where the members of the EC and all of it’s employees cut a cake.

The Elections Commission said that they are also conducting different activities among the staff along with future plans to celebrate the anniversary.
