Dhiraagu establishes a fiber network in Maafushi

Telecommunications company – Dhiraagu has established a fiber network in K. Maafushi.

Maafushi has become the first island other than the capital – Male’ for Dhiraagu to establish a fiber network in.

Manager of Marketing, Communication and Public Relations of Dhiraagu, Mirshaan Hassan informed “Sun” that the company had competed establishing a fiber network in Maafushi, and said that all households and businesses in the island would be able to access the service starting Wednesday.

Mirshaan said that there would be a special promotion to celebrate the new service, and said that the rates would be the same as that provided in Male’.

“It will reach up to the highest speed of 100 mbps, and will include 1tb packages,” said Mirshaan.

Dhiraagu plans to expand the service to the atolls.
