Sunland Travels Private Limited has lost their lawsuit against Victory SC over claims the sports club failed to settle USD 15,069 worth of tickets it purchased from Sunland on credit.
Sunland filed the lawsuit with Civil Court last October after the company allegedly failed to be paid the money despite having sent invoices on two occasions.
Sunland had asked the court to look into the case and order Victory SC to pay the money they were owed.
Civil Court, in the verdict it issued on the case last Tuesday, noted that invoices sent from one company to the other usually had request numbers and purchase orders, but that the two invoices allegedly sent by Sunland to Victory SC did not have either of those numbers.
Furthermore, Victory SC claimed that they had not received either of the invoices, denying having bought tickets from Sunland on credit.
Civil Court ruled that it cannot order for an alleged payment based solely on invoices, given how easy it was to produce an invoice given availability of resources.
Sunland had provided no other documents or evidence except for the alleged invoices.
Civil Court ruled that the case against Victory SC failed to be proven in court.
