MNDF begins special operation to assist Hajj Pilgrims

The Malé Area Command of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has started a special operation to assist the Hajj Pilgrims leaving to Mecca from the Maldives.

MNDF said that they have been working with the Islamic Ministry since 10 August providing assisting the departure of the year’s Hajj Pilgrims from the Maldives. And so, on the days of departure, MNDF officers have been providing assistance to the pilgrims at the Republic Square.

Seating arrangements and other needs of the pilgrims are being fulfilled at the Republic Square according to the MNDF.

The officers of the MNDF Malé Area Command have also been assisting the Hajj Pilgrims board the ferries to the airport for their departure.
