Chief Cashier of Paradise Resort arrested for embezzlement

Maldives Police Service has arrested the Chief Cashier of Paradise Island Resort last night in relation to a case under investigation.

Information Officer of Police, Ismail Ali said that they arrested the Chief Cashier of Paradise Island Resort in the early hours of this morning in relation to an embezzlement case.

Sources say that Police arrested the37-year-old Chief Cashier of Paradise of the resort, Mustafa Niyaz under a court order in relation to the investigation by the Police into a large sum of money missing from the resort.

According to sources, over MVR 1 million went missing along with a large sum of foreign currency in the theft.
