Home Minister Azleen Ahmed has said that the main target of the government is to make the Maldivian people to fully abide the constitutional laws and reputable.
A statement issued by the Home Minister following the ratification of the Anti-Defamation bill by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, he said that the Constitution does not allow actions that create fear among the public.
In his statement the Home Minister said that any action required to stop those who are threatening the security of the country would be swiftly taken.
Minister Azleen said that the government will always be working to keep the peace in the country. He said that the people have been supportive of that work and sent his gratitude.
The Home Minister said that the Police would receive the full support of the Home Ministry in their work to protect the public.
