Committee backs 5 Cabinet ministers

Government Oversight Committee of People’s Majlis has provided their backing to the two Cabinet ministers who were transferred to other ministries and the three newly appointed Cabinet ministers.

Committee provided backing to:

• Ahmed Zuhoor – transferred from Ministry of Youth and Sports to Ministry of Home Affairs

• Iruthisham Adam – transferred from Ministry of Health to Ministry of Youth and Sports

• Abdulla Nazim – appointed Minister of Health

• Ahmed Munawwar – appointed Minister of Finance

• Aminath Zenysha Shaheed Zaki – appointed Minister of Gender and Family

All Committee members present during the meeting voted to approve the 5 Cabinet ministers.

Their names were sent to People’s Majlis for approval by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on June 29.

They were appointed to the post on June 22.
