A team from Local Government Authority (LGA) has been dispatched to Dh. Maaen’boodhoo to provide services to its citizens after the Maaen’boodhoo Council headquarters burned down overnight.
Media official of LGA, Abdulla Azmeen spoke to “Sun” on Thursday and said that the team would set up office and take over the services provided by the Council.
“The team was dispatched to prove undisrupted service to the people and to make arrangements requested by the Council,” said Azmeen.
A fire burned down Maaen’boodhoo Council headquarters during the predawn hours of Thursday, turning everything inside the building to crisp – including all documents.
