Leader of the MDP Parliamentary Group, the MP for the Hinnavaru constituency, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) has been ordered to appear at the Police Station tonight to give a witness statement in an ongoing investigation.
Information Officer of the Maldives Police Service, Ismail Ali confirmed the summoning to Sun Media. Sources say that Ibu is to appear at the Police Station tonight at 9 p.m.
While Ibu is being summoned to give a statement to the Police, the member of the United Opposition’s shadow cabinet and former MP for Kendhoo constituency, Ahmed Thasmeen Ali, former Youth Minister, Hassan Latheef and former State Minister of the Gender Ministry, Sidhaatha Shareef was also summoned to the Police to give a statement.
Aside from those three, MP for Kendhoo constituency, Hussain and the MP for Hithadhoo constituency, Ali Nizar was also summoned and questioned at the Police Station.
