State submits witness, evidence list against RajjeTV video journalist

State prosecution, on Wednesday, submitted their witness and evidence list in the case against RajjeTV video journalist Adam Zareer for obstructing police from performing their duty.

Prosecution submitted the names of two police officers to testify on their behalf, a video footage, and a video of the area from which Zareer was arrested – on March 25, 2015.

He is accused of making his way through barricades placed on Boduthakurufaanu Magu-Mohamed Ismail Didi Goalhi junction during a protest on March 25, 2015.

Meanwhile, Zareer submitted the names of three individuals to testify on his behalf.

Judge Ahmed Shakeel announced that the next hearing would be held on September 7.
