Authorities have said that the fire which broke out at Henveiru Filmy Site was on a vacant floor of the house but a warehouse of a Hajj group was affected in the fire.
An official of the MNDF Fire and Rescue told Sun Media that the fire started on the second floor of the house. The floor is vacant with no electricity either according to the owner.
People living in the alley say that the floor was recently cleaned as well for renovations.
While the fire spread to a warehouse next to Filmy Site during the incident, the warehouse contained cases and “Ihrams” (white cloth worn by Muslims on their Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage, were affected in the fire according to an official of the Hajj Group.
The Hajj Group wishes to remain anonymous.
Although no one was injured in the fire, the Police are investigating the cause of the fire. The house was not severely affected in the fire.
