Jihad appointed Chairman of Social Council, Zuhoor - Chairman of Economic Council

Vice President Abdulla Jihad has been appointed Chairman of Social Council, and Minister for President’s Office Ahmed Zuhoor – as Chairman of Economic and Youth Council.

The appointments were announced by President’s Office this Tuesday.

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom had been working as acting Chairman of Social Council after the former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor was terminated from the post.

Zuhoor has been appointed Chairman of Economic and Youth Council, while Minister of Fisheries Dr. Mohamed Shainee has been appointed Deputy Chairman.
