MET: Rain in central and northern atolls, winds at 40 mph

National Meteorological Service has said that rain and thunderstorms are expected in the central and northern atolls.

The weather forecast from this morning to tomorrow morning expects heavy rain in some of the islands. MET Office said that the southern atolls may experience some rain but clear weather is expected in general.

Winds are expected to be at 5-15 mph from south and south east at the northern atolls and up to 13-23 mph during in other areas. Winds are expected to pick up to 40 mph during showers.

The seas are expected to be calm in the southern atolls and moderate and rough seas are expected in the north and central atolls.
