Ten floor building with accommodation block to be constructed at ADK

ADK Company has signed an agreement with ABC Construction to build a ten floor building which will have special rooms for patients along with staff quarters.

At a special ceremony held today at ADK, the project was contracted to be completed in 18 months.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of ADK Hospital, Ahmed Affaal said that 35 flats would be included in the building as staff accommodation for doctors and staff of that level.

He said that a special 24-room apartment is also set to be built especially for patients and their helpers coming in from the atolls. It is to be single rooms with cooking and laundry amenities.

Affaal said that the purpose of those rooms is to provide a solution for the helpers of the patients from the atolls that are being admitted at the hospital.

He said that the rooms would have a rent lower than the average day rooms available in Malé City.
