Fiyaz and Azif arrested near Islamic Center

The Chief Operating Officer of Rajje TV, Hussain Fiyaz and journalist at Sun Online, Ahmed Azif has been arrested near the Islamic Center along with four others.

Police Media Official told Sun Media that some people have been arrested near the Islamic Center and said it was to clear some of the information. However the Police did not say which crimes they committed.

Others arrested along with Fiyaz and Azif include Sheikh Hussain Rasheed Ahmed and Ahmed Simwar.

State officials and foreign diplomats are meeting upon the invitation of President Abdulla Yameen and the First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim at the marbled floor of the Islamic Center.
