Maldivian introduces luxury seaplane

In an effort to expand their seaplane fleet, National Airline, Maldivian, has introduced a luxury seaplane service.

The luxury seaplane service introduced by Maldivian with the two new planes that were brought in offers an extravagant travel option.

As opposed to the other seaplanes with 15 seats, the new luxury planes have eight comfortable seats.

“The chairs are bigger and more comfortable, and every seat has a tray, so in this (seaplane) drinks and food can be served.” Head of Administration at Island Aviation, Ali Nashaath Hameed said.

Most of the other seaplane airlines have cooling systems that starts once they are up in the air. But the this new seaplane brought in by Maldivian has a cooling system that keeps the inside the plane cool at all times.

Head of Administration Nashaath said that chartering the flights have been opened with high class tourists as their target.

Maldivian usually uses DHC-6 Twin Otter seaplanes in their fleet which has a capacity of 15 passengers.
