Prison inmate admitted to IGMH passes away

A prison inmate under the watch of Maldives Correctional Service passed away, Wednesday night.

The inmate has been identified as Ibrahim Nazih, Lilyge in S. Maradhoo.

Correctional Service has reported that the man passed away at 11:30 pm, while receiving medical care at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’.

Correctional Service reported that the inmate had been admitted to IGMH since March 28, but did not reveal any detail regarding the nature of his illness.

Nazih had served four years in prison.
