Major changes brought to the cabinet

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has made major changed to his cabinet.

And so the Youth Minister, Ahmed Zuhoor has been appointed as the Home Minister with Umar Naseer’s resignation last night. And the Health Minister, Iruthisham Adam has been appointed as the new Minister of Youth and Sports.

The Deputy Minister at the Education Ministry, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has been appointed as the Health Minister.

While Ahmed Munawar has been appointed as the new Minister of Finance and Treasury, Aminath Zeneesha Shaheed Zaki has been appointed as the Minister of Gender and Family.

At a special ceremony held at the President’s Office today the newly appointed ministers took their oath in front of the Supreme Court Judge, Abdulla Areef.
