Economic Ministry has said that all the fish products by the Maldivian companies taken to the China South Asia Expo 2016 in Kunming last week has run out.
Deputy Minister at the Economic Ministry, Adam Thaufeeq told Sun Media today that 1.5 million people visited the expo and 500,000 people visited to the stall of the Maldives.
He said that the biggest support was for the variety of tuna products by the Maldivian companies and while a large stock was taken for the expo, they have all run out.
Aside from the tuna products, Deputy Minister Thaufeeq said that there were tremendous support for other Maldivian products and has also learned the changed that needs to be brought to them.
Thaufeeq said that the expo has been a “golden opportunity” to promote the country and it’s products.
A Maldivian delegation of over 100 representatives from the government, industry partners, performers, craftsmen and artists are taking part in the Kungming Fair this time.
