IGMH: Condition of man hit by van has stabilized

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital has announced that the condition of Hussain Shah – who was at Meerubahuru Harbor when a van went out of control and crashed into a boat – was stable.

IGMH media official Zeenath Ali Habeeb spoke to “Sun” and said that the condition of the man had stabilized, and that he had been hospitalized and was receiving treatment.

“He had multiple injuries. He is hospitalized now. Stable,” said Zeenath.

The details of his injuries has not been released yet.

The incident took place at around 10:30, Friday night.

Shah had been at the harbor to take a motorcycle transported to Male’ in one of the boats.

He was walking when hit by the van, and was thrown off his feet with the impact.

The boat the van hit also suffered damage.

The case in being investigated by police.
