Police arrest driver after van crashes into boat

Police have arrested the driver who lost control of the van he was driving, and crashed into a boat docked at Meerubahuru Harbor, Friday night.

Police media official said that the nationality of the suspect arrested in the case was Indian, giving no further details.

The van had also hit a man – Hussein Shah – who had been at the harbor to collect a motorcycle transported on one of the boats.

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital reported that Shah received multiple injuries, but that his condition was stable.

The boat which the van crashed into also suffered damage in the incident.
