Nazeem assigned as the Deputy Minister at Housing

Former Managing Director of Maldives Road Development Corporation Ltd., Ibrahim Nazeem has been assigned to Housing Ministry as the Deputy Minister.

The President’s Office has confirmed the appointment saying that the President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom made the decision today.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has completed an investigation regarding a case of corruption when Nazeem was the Managing Director at MRDC and file the case at the Prosecutor General’s (PG) Office to head to trial.

An official from the PG Office said that the case regarding Nazeem is being reviewed by the PG Office.
