PG Bisham presides over session on human trafficking in Lisbon

Maldivian Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham has presided over a session on human trafficking, during 15th conference of International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) being held in Lisbon, Portugal.

PG Office reported that Friday morning’s session was held on human trafficking with a transnational legal framework.

The session focused on verdicts issued by European Court of Human Rights regarding human trafficking cases, and the importance of educating and training prosecutors and judiciary

professionals regarding human trafficking.

PG Office said that Bisham presided over the session upon invitation of IAP.

Maldivian Prosecutor General’s Office is a member of IAP.
