Witness testifies he made IED for Adeeb

A witness testified at court on Thursday that he made an Improvised Explosive Device for former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor to plant onboard presidential speedboat “Finifenma”.

The anonymous witness testified that he made the IED which caused the explosion onboard

“Finifenma” for Adeeb. And that Adeeb had called him after the explosion.

“After the explosion onboard Finifenma speedboat, Adeeb called me and said that the IED I made caused the explosion. And told me to remain silent,” said the witness.

He said that Adeeb had told him police may question him regarding the explosion, and the connection he had with Adeeb.

He said that Adeeb told him to tell the police that they knew each other as someone involved in the fireworks business.

The witness described how he made the IED in detail to court.
