USD 707 million in the national reserve at the end of April

Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has said that there is USD 707.2 million in the national reserve at the end of April 2016.

The financial review for the month of April published by MMA today says that the USD 707.2 million in the national reserve is a 6 percent increase compared to last year.

As the national reserve has increased, it is also a 7 percent increase compared to the month of March.

MMA said that there are USD 230.8 million as useable reserve in the national reserve at the end of April.

The MMA said that the useable reserve has been increased by 13 percent annually but when reviewed on a monthly basis, it is a 5 percent low figure.
