Negligent father arrested and children taken under the state

A father who neglected in taking care of his children has been arrested in Kaafu Atoll and his four children have been taken into the care of the state.

The Island Council confirmed the story to Sun Media.

A source who wishes to remain anonymous told Sun Media that the negligent father was arrested today. The source said that the man had two girls and two boys all under the age of 18 and their mother lives separately and the children are in the care of the father.

Talking to Sun Media, the source said that three of his children were taken in by the state yesterday and today, the father was arrested today and his youngest was taken in by the state.

The source said that the father uses inappropriate language with his children but is not aware of any physical abuse.

And the children are not given food at times.
