The MTCC ferry services to Hulhumalé and Villi-malé from Malé City has resumed after being cancelled due to rough seas and strong winds.
The ferry service came to a halt around 5:30 p.m. and resumed at 8 p.m.
Since the winds are from south-west, the journey from Malé City to Villi-malé is against the wind and it is dangerous to travel against the wind with a large number of passengers.
While the ferry services have resumed, the Met Office has advised not to make journeys in the central atolls unless it’s absolutely necessary.
