Sea swells in the west of Malé City damages Rasfannu

Sea swells on the west side of Malé City due to rough seas and strong winds have damaged Rasfannu artificial beach.

The sea swells took place around 6:30 p.m. tonight flooding the Rasfannu area. But the water has now been drained. The swells in the BBQ area damaged the light lamps in the area and the storage room beneath the fishing platform has been flooded.

And the swelling in the swimming area caused the sand on the beach to be eroded and damaged the huts on the beach.

A witness to the swells at Rasfannu told Sun Media that the area was flooded when the winds were at their strongest.
